Putin signs law on veteran status for Donbas militia and other volunteers

The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the law on the status of a combat veteran for persons who took part in battles in the territories of the DLR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions from May 12, 2014. The corresponding document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
It should be noted that in the process of adopting the law, amendments were approved to grant veteran status to citizens who signed a contract with an organization that facilitates tasks of the Russian Army during the SVO.< /p>
On the basis of the document, an amendment was also approved on assigning the status of a person with a disability to those persons who became disabled while performing a combat mission.
