Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek-Evkurov and retired colonel Andrei Troshev, who was a member of the Wagner PMC management. This was reported by the Kremlin website.
During the conversation with Troshev, Putin recalled that during their previous dialogue the issue of creating volunteer brigades for the Northern Military District was raised.
” You yourself are fighting in such a department more than a year. You know what it is,” the Russian leader noted.
The president also touched on guarantees for SVO participants. He noted that the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation recently started its activities in the Russian Federation to solve such problems. According to him, the employees of this organization provide timely assistance to combat veterans and relatives of fallen soldiers.
At the same time, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, commented on the meeting, confirming that Andrei Troshev currently already works at the Ministry of Defense.
