Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Operation Mercenary at the CSTO Summit in Minsk.
He noted that the CSTO has consistently strengthened cooperation between law enforcement agencies and intelligence services.
“In particular, CSTO Operation Mercenary,” he noted Putin during a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
According to him, the operation is aimed at suppressing recruitment and blocking escape channels for citizens of CSTO countries to join international terrorist organizations.
