Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko intend to sign all integration plans at a meeting in Moscow on September 9. Belarus Ambassador to the Russian Federation Vladimir Semashko spoke about this.
“Thank God we are at the finish line three years later, when there is only one of the 28 cards left. I think we will push for the latter 7th and 9th presidents will meet in Moscow, where all plans and maps for the development of deepening integration will be signed, “said Ambassador Duma Deputy Chairman Alexei Gordeev and Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusevs at a meeting with the state.
In early July, Lukashenko proposed developing an integration strategy within Russia's allied state by 2030. It was also announced that in the autumn of 2021, Belarus and Russia would create a single economic space.
Lukashenko previously commented on the possibility of his country joining Russia. He said that economic integration is possible without it.
