Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko made phone calls. The Pool of the First telegram channel informed about it.
The leaders of both countries discussed current issues in the development of bilateral relations. The conversation focused on the implementation of the economic integration agreements and the preparation of the EAEU and CIS summits to be held in Minsk in October.
Earlier, Lukashenko congratulated Putin on his birthday. In his speech, he noted the “creative state activity” of the Russian leader and his work to protect national interests, strengthen the economy and increase Russia's role and influence on the international stage.
