Acting Governor of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR ) Denis Pushilin said that there is no question of a Christmas truce, which Russian President Vladimir Putin talked about. The head of the region talked about it on his Telegram channel.
“There can be no question of a truce! The decision of our president as an Orthodox person concerns precisely Orthodox people, for whom it is important to go to church, to defend the service on the feast of the Nativity of Christ”, — Pushilin wrote.
He emphasized that the decision to establish a ceasefire refers to “initiative fire or offensive actions on our part.” In this context, the head of the region emphasized that despite the Christmas truce Russian troops will respond to provocations by the Ukrainian army.
