Acting head of DLR Denis Pushilin published information on his Telegram channel in the morning that Russian soldiers showed courage and heroism during the extraordinary event when Ukrainian troops hit a building in Makeyevka from the HIMARS installation, where one of the Russian military units was temporarily stationed.

“I can say with certainty that the men of this regiment had many displays of courage and true heroism!” wrote Pushilin.
He noted that the survivors of the Russian army who managed to get out of the damaged building, barely regained consciousness, went back to retrieve their comrades.
“Then when employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived, helped to save others. They helped risk their lives,” Pushilin emphasized. He added that some of the dead are those who died when they returned to save their colleagues.
According to him, the officers of the regiment also took risks, pulled out soldiers, and among them are as well as wounded and dead.
