Robert Habek, nominated for the post of German Minister of Economy, criticized the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project and refused to consider it commercial.
According to him, this project was never a purely commercial idea. “This is a strategic project aimed at putting pressure on Ukraine and increasing the dependence of German politics,” Habek told the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Let's make it clear that the German media are predicting a change of Minister of Economy for Habek. According to them, his colleague from the political party Union 90/Greens Annalena Berbock will become the head of the German Foreign Ministry and the head of the Free Democratic Party Christian Linder will become the head of the Ministry of Finance.
Euractiv has previously said that Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moravetsky has once again decided to “scare” Europe with the forecast that the European Union will become “more dependent” on Russia if Nord Stream 2 is launched.
