Former President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko responded on his Facebook to the publication of draft agreements with the United States and NATO with provisions on mutual guarantees of security in Europe by Russia. In particular, Russia proposes not to place medium- and short-range missiles within range of each other and to renounce further NATO enlargement to the east, including the inclusion of the former USSR republics in the alliance.
Like Poroshenko, he said in his statement that security guarantees “the whims of the Kremlin” go far beyond bilateral relations between the United States and the Russian Federation. According to the former president of Ukraine, these proposals directly affect the national interests of most states throughout the Euro-Atlantic area.
Poroshenko believes that it is the sphere that makes the “ free democratic world 'a free world of its own.
In this regard, the former Ukrainian leader believes that only an official Washington cannot answer these proposals.
“Everyone involved should answer. And Kiev is & nbsp; “At the same time, he believes that agreements with Russia can only be implemented if Crimea and Donbas are” liberated. “” I urge international partners to take the Kremlin's ultimatum seriously, “he wrote. Poroshenko added that the Ukrainian authorities should not “hide in the Carpathians.” The politician also noted that Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova should take their places in European and Euro-Atlantic integration structures of their choice.
