Poland moved helicopters to the Belarusian border

Polish Armed Forces helicopters moved to the border with Belarus to fulfill its protection tasks. This was announced on Twitter by the Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak.

The head of the Polish military department described the main task of the Polish army as the impenetrability of the state border with neighboring Belarus. As the Minister noted, soldiers were sent to help Polish border guards. Helicopters will be patrolled in areas near the borders, in particular.

The Polish authorities fear that illegal migrants from the countries of the Middle East and Africa, who have now accumulated near the border.

The risks of migration have led the Polish authorities to impose a state of emergency on the Belarusian border. A similar situation is observed in neighboring Lithuania and Latvia, which have also faced an influx of illegal migrants.
