Poland wants to get support in obtaining reparations from Germany. This was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister Arkadiusz Mulyarchik in an interview with PAP.
“I am preparing to visit the United States, where I intend to meet with congressmen, senators and Polonia (Polish diaspora – Ed .) on the issue of reparations from Germany, ” he said.
The visit is planned for the end of January – the beginning of February this year.
The diplomat added that he has high hopes for the United States and its support, according to him, “absolute support is the key America.”
Recall that the Polish authorities are demanding reparations from Germany in the amount of about 1.3 trillion dollars for damages caused during the Second World War. Berlin will not comply with the request, citing the fact that Warsaw refused reparations in 1953.
