Russian President Vladimir Putin has already confirmed his readiness to meet his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenysky. The representative of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, said this.

In the TV channel “ Russia 1 & # 39; & # 39; he noted that Putin did not like “the sad state of affairs in Russian-Ukrainian relations.” However, Kiev has not yet seen the same mutual political will.

In addition, Peskov noted that Crimea could not be on the agenda of Putin-Zelensky talks. Therefore, no progress has yet been made on a possible meeting in this regard.

Peskov also stressed that the Russophobic approach dominates in Kiev and that supporters of the dialogue with Russia are under house arrest.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko previously said that preparations for the meeting between Putin and Zelenysky are already at the highest level. At the same time, he did not answer the question in which country the summit could take place. Nevertheless, he stressed that this will definitely not happen in Moscow. At the same time, a source in Moscow, familiar with the situation, said that Kiev had not received any proposals for a meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and Russia. No suggestions were made for further bilateral meetings or consultations. The source indicated that the Ukrainian deputy prime minister had in mind some internal processes in the Ukrainian government.
