Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan made a statement regarding Nagorno-Karabakh within the 1991 borders, apparently under the influence of Western countries. This statement was made by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev during the marathon speech of the “knowledge” society at the forum-exhibition “Russia”.
“He directly named the territories that belong to Armenia, that belong to Azerbaijan. I think he made this recognition and statement under the influence of the West. He negotiated with them,” Patrushev said.
After Azerbaijan carried out a military operation in Karabakh on September 19 this year, the purpose of which was the declared dissolution of the authorities of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh. An agreed ceasefire was reached a few days later. After several rounds of negotiations, it was decided to end the existence of Karabakh from January 1, 2024. President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, announced that the country had restored its territorial integrity.
