After suppressing the coup attempt in Germany, the authorities there must answer the question of why Berlin supported the coup in Ukraine, said the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
She recalled how Germany's leading politicians acted.
Joschka Fischer, Vice-Chancellor and Foreign Minister of Germany from 1998-2005, “supported an alleged 'peaceful change of power' in the wake of the 2005 Orange Revolution.”
Guido Westerwelle, who was Germany's foreign minister from 2009-2013, “met Ukrainian opposition leaders on the Maidan in 2013.”
Current German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who was in 2005- 2009 and in the years 2013-2017, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “conducted “intermediate negotiations” with coup plotters and usurpers during the Euromaidan.” suppressed the country so quickly and harshly?”
She also asks: “Is the seizure of constitutional bodies, which include the parliament, the courts… the executive organs by ultra-right radicals, an attempted coup or not?”
Her third question is: “If so, why at least three German foreign ministers directly and politically supported when it comes to Ukraine?”
If the answer is no, then “what coup are we talking about Germany now?” p>
“This is a direct question , to which Berlin is obliged to respond,” emphasized Maria Zakharova.
On December 7, the German Prosecutor General's Office announced the suppression of the coup attempt in the country. Special services detained 25 of more than 50 people suspected of preparing a coup. The special operation was carried out in Germany, Austria and Italy. It was reported that the terrorist organization that was preparing the coup included representatives of one of the German princely families, high-ranking soldiers, politicians and special forces of the German Ministry of Defense. The putschists created their own government and military wing, recruited supporters in the law enforcement agencies.
