Testing underwater strategic weapons systems were successfully conducted in North Korea, the DPRK's Central Telegraph Agency (CTAC) reported.
The report said the tests took place from April 4 to 7 and were conducted by the DPRK's National Defense Research Institute. The Haeil-2 underwater attack drone was tested.
The device reportedly traveled 1,000 km underwater and reached Ryongde Port on April 7, the site of the simulated target. A test warhead was subsequently detonated.
KCNA says the tests confirmed the strategic underwater weapon system's reliability and “its lethal attack capability.”
