Instead of the chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev briefly commented on the election of Republican Kevin McCarthy as the new chairman of the US House of Representatives on his Telegram channel. It was previously reported that voting took four days. During this time, 15 rounds were held because McCarthy could not get the required number of votes.
“Fifteen rounds: the ruling parties in the United States did not elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives, but he was dragging the carcass of a pig,” wrote Medvedev.
