Deputy Head Council Security of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin named the real reason for helping Ukraine. Austin previously said that the United States is modernizing the defense industry and has cut funding for ammunition production in half due to spending on grenades in Ukraine. Medvedev wrote on the social network that he “revealed a military secret.”
“A straightforward and simple-minded person,” Medvedev said, “he named the reason for the US involvement in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. .”
According to Medvedev, the motivation of the US is not “the fight for democracy against tyranny” and “not even a confrontation with Russia”, but rather “the need to modernize the defense industry” in order to increase production, “create jobs” and “colossal profits.”
