Railways trains with the Ukrainian army and weapons are headed for the border with the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic. This was reported by the Ukrainian media on Wednesday, May 3.
According to the media, the wagons are loaded with artillery pieces and ammunition, as well as armored vehicles.
The founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin also noted that in in the Odesa region and near the borders of Transnistria, “there is an accumulation of the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
Earlier, sources reported that Kiev deployed up to four thousand soldiers in the Odesa region, who should take part in the preparation of the offensive against Transnistria, planned on May 9 to 15. Vladimir Bruter, an expert on Moldova at the International Institute for Humanitarian and Political Studies, said such provocations are designed to force Russia to open a “second front”. General Vladimir Boldyrev noted that in case of a provocation by Kiev, everything will depend on how the government and people of Transnistria, as well as Russian peacekeeping forces, react.
