В Russia has begun developing a fifth-generation carrier-based fighter to be manufactured using stealth technology. In the next few years, the Russian airline (RSK) MiG plans to create a prototype of such an aircraft, a source in the military-industrial complex told RIA Novosti.
“The company is working on a promising 5th generation aircraft fighter, which will be carried out using secret technologies. The computer modeling phase is now underway, and the first prototypes of the machine are planned to be released in the next few years, “he explained.
According to him, the possibility of creating a version of the fighter with a vertical takeoff and landing will be produced in its own size in the size of the MiG-35. It will also use the development on the Skat drone.
“The device should be used in conjunction with a fighter as part of the concept of a 'faithful wing. “Its function is either refueling or joint strikes,” said an agency source.
