Foreign property can be confiscated in Belarus if foreign states and persons commit hostile actions against the Republic. Such a norm is now stated in the law dated January 3 No. 240-3, which was signed by the country's president, Alexander Lukashenko.
As stated, the decision on the need to take retaliatory measures until the removal of property rights is within the competence Council of Ministers of Belarus. The text of the document was published on Friday on the national legal portal.
As a result of this decision, the State Property Committee of Belarus sends a request to the Economic Court of the city of Minsk to seize the property, the law says.
It is reported that the subject of property rights are things, including money and securities, other property, including property rights, located on the territory of the state and owned by subjects of seizure.
