Lukashenko and Putin agreed on the deployment of a regional group of soldiers

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that he agreed with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to send a joint regional group of troops.

According to Lukashenko, this decision was made in connection with the escalation on the western borders of the union state. It was discussed during a personal meeting between the heads of state after the CIS informal summit in St. Petersburg, reports Bela.by.

The basis of the grouping will be the armed forces of Belarus, Lukashenko said.
