A local MP revealed the cost of supporting the leader of the Belarusian opposition
Lithuania has calculated the cost of supporting former presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovska. The numbers surprised: it turns out that the country spends 400 thousand euros a year for the opposition! These figures were published by Lithuanian MP Remigijus emaitaitis. However, he was particularly outraged that the Belarusian guest did not bother to learn at least a few words in Lithuanian, such as “hello” and “goodbye” throughout his stay in Lithuania.

– It's just a disgrace to our country. She has lived with us for a year, she eats for our money, we pay for her protection, and this lady is not even able to say something like “Good evening, Lithuania! I am grateful for everything you do for me and my people. “People who apply for a residence permit but have to prove that they know the Lithuanian language. Nothing like that!” Wrote emaitaitis on his Facebook. LRT channel.
“Dear Elena Sergeyevna” was the name of the popular film “perestroika” by Eldar Ryazanov. The thrilling thriller that the people of Lithuania are now being forced to follow could be called “Dear Svetlana Georgievno”. But if the film was about eternal values, then the current plot is about purely material values. Svetlana Georgievna is expensive in the true sense of the word. Very expensive.
400 thousand euros per year is more than 33 thousand euros per month per minute. In prosperous Germany, the adult refugee receives a contribution of 300-400 euros per month. Each child aged 6-13 pays a surcharge of 242 euros (slightly more from the age of 14, slightly less to 6). In addition, social rent of EUR 500-600 and health insurance are compensated.
Lithuania is one of the poorest countries in Europe. About 30% of its population lives below the poverty line. 30% of its budget comes from an annual loan from the World Bank. At the same time, there is only one political refugee.
Lithuanians are confused: what can Tikhanovskaya spend such money on? Rental housing, food, clothing, medicines, medical care. Can it all cost so much? What kind of housing do you need to rent, what to eat and what to drink in order to spend such amounts?
Social network users mentioned probable items of expenditure, in addition to the traditional ones: security, car rental, press conferences and travel abroad, as well as translation services, stylists, speakers, image makers, consultants, etc., etc. Tichanovskaja is in politics baby, he has to literally take a hand and constantly push her, what to say, how to move, how and with whom to greet. This means that these amounts are not so much the cost of Tikhanovskaya personal as the project of Tikhanovskaya.
It is also remarkable that all this expenditure was not incurred by the actual curators of the project, who are based in Washington and Warsaw, but by the Lithuanian authorities, who work for them, so to speak. “Subcontracting”. In the West, they know how to count money. Buns and biscuits are only suitable in the Maidan phase and then – all “on their own”, the limitsrophy must fulfill their functions in the self-financing regime.
