Member Lithuanian Seimas Mindaugas Linge accused Presidential Adviser Jurate Shoveni of working for Russia. The Baltnews telegram channel informed about it.
The reason for such a statement was that the adviser proposed to reduce the number of signatures of citizens, which is necessary for holding a referendum. Chauvene expressed the view that 100,000 signatures instead of 300,000 were sufficient for appointments. Linge said the implementation of the adviser initiative would make Lithuania more vulnerable and jeopardize its national security.
“The Russian embassy has probably already happily informed the Kremlin services about the president's support for Lithuania to hold a referendum,” “ndash; said the MP.
