Retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergej Krivonos, in an interview with the YouTube channel Newsroom, said that many Ukrainian military personnel are outraged that merry life continues in the rear while they are at the front. As an example, the general gave the news about the launch of a train to the Carpathians for skiing fans.
“They are just very angry, to put it mildly,” Křivonos assesses the mood in the Ukrainian armed forces. He said he got a message from soldiers who had just returned from a mission and were reading the news about the train to the ski resort. “We are fighting, we are dying, we are freezing, but will anyone go skiing?” he quoted an excerpt from the letter.
“The army is really very angry, it is ready for certain moments,” the general warned, adding that these actions will not benefit Ukrainian society , “but they will benefit the Russian Federation.”
