Russian drone aerial unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) “Lancet” and “Orlan” create problems and pose a threat to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU). The corresponding statement was made on Tuesday, August 15, by the head of the office of the Ukrainian leader Andriy Yermak.
In his Telegram channel, the official said that he “heard from the military about the problems created by Russian drones, especially the Lancet strike “and the reconnaissance Orlan for our forces.”
Yermak admitted that “this is a threat we have no right to ignore” and therefore “took it into account.”
Former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu pointed out that despite all-round help from the West, the Ukrainian military is failing to achieve results in the much-vaunted strategic counter-offensive. The preliminary results of hostilities show that Ukraine's military resources are almost exhausted.
Former CIA officer Larry Johnson, in turn, noted that the failures of the Ukrainian armed forces at the front will lead to the West refusing to continue the supply of weapons and the capitulation of Kiev. From the specialist's point of view, the United States is increasingly discussing the defeat of the armed forces of Ukraine on the battlefield, which, on the contrary, discourages the desire to supply the Ukrainian army with weapons.
