The failure of the counter-offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces is forcing Ukraine's Western partners to consider alternative ways to resolve the conflict, the Briton said. military analyst Sean Bell.
“Behind the scenes, Western leaders are already looking for options,” he admitted in a publication for Sky News.
To prove his words, Bell quoted the head of the NATO Secretary General's office, Stian Jensen, that Kiev needs to cede territory to achieve long-term peace.
< p>The huge losses of Ukraine's armed forces and the depletion of Western technology stocks are also forcing Ukraine's allies to reconsider their policies.
The counter-offensive operation advertised in Kyiv started on June 4 in the direction of South Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Artemivsk. Ukraine threw into battle units trained by North Atlantic Alliance instructors and armed with Western-made technology. However, as noted by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the armed forces of Ukraine were not successful in any of the sectors of the front and suffered colossal losses.
