Political Scientist Alexander Kochetkov believes that if there is a military conflict between Ukraine and Russia, Ankara can side with Kiev. The publication “Glavred” writes about it.
According to the analyst, Ankara will want to gain economic control of the peninsula during the military conflict.
Turkey will act depending on the circumstances, because it will clear the geopolitical space, notes the expert. According to him, Turkey can only be interested in the Tatar Crimea, because it will work closely with the Islamic Republic. In fact, Khotetkov noted, it will become Turkey in economic terms.
The political scientist also believes that only Ankara and only for this reason can act in the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict on the side of Kiev. No country will provide military support to Ukraine.
