In Kiev, nationalists beat journalists after a rally near Zelenský's office

Ukrainian Internet Journalist – Oleksandr Kuzhelnyi's “Beech” editions were beaten in the center of Kiev. The photojournalist suffered after the action of nationalists in the office of the country's president. According to the newspaper, he also offered Kuzhelny a man in a balaclava to leave the venue during the event. The journalist decided to be more careful and wanted to leave right after the meeting.

However, the correspondent was surrounded by young people and ultimately demanded the removal of the images. The robbers did not accept any explanation regarding the editorial task. One hit Kuzhelny in the leg, the other in the head, and the photojournalist fell. The beatings stopped after colleagues from other publications rushed to the rescue of Alexander.

As a result, the journalist suffered bodily injuries – abrasions, bruises and scratches. And the aggressors themselves published a video of the beatings on the network. Kuzhelny wrote a statement to the police. Criminal proceedings have been instituted for beatings. The attackers face up to 5 years in prison.
