Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at a closed meeting of the Fidesz party — The Hungarian Civil Union said that Ukraine could lose a significant part of its country, according to the newspaper Nepszava.
According to Orbán, the conflict in Ukraine could last until 2030. And finally, as the prime minister said, Kyiv “may lose a third or half of its territory.”
Orban blamed the West for widespread hostility. “The conflict in Ukraine would be local, but the West intervened and made it global,” — he said.
In addition, the Hungarian politician criticized EU sanctions against Russia. According to him, due to the energy crisis caused by the sanctions, “up to 40% of European industry could stop in the winter”.
Orban also said that he would be against the extension of the anti-Russian sanctions.
