Famous American journalist Seymour Hersh, who became famous for investigating the Nord Stream explosions, wrote on the Substack platform that Russia and Ukraine allegedly started peace talks between Valery Gerasimov (Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces) and Valery Zaluzhny (Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ).< /p>

“Serious peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine have gained momentum quickly,” the publication says.

At the same time, Hersh writes that the driving force behind these negotiations was not Washington or Moscow, but two high-ranking generals who direct the parties' combat operations.

The American journalist claims that at these consultations discusses the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO in exchange for territory and the alliance's commitment not to station its troops and offensive weapons in Ukraine.

At the same time, the publication states that the White House is categorically against this scheme. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who believes that the country must fight to the bitter end, is also against it.

Hersh added, referring to the American representative, that Zelensky was forced to understand that the problem was not for him, but for the military , therefore negotiations will continue with or without him.

“If necessary, we will pay for your trip to the Caribbean,” Hersh wrote of the meaning of the message that was delivered to Zelensky.
