The son of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss Artem gave an interview in which he confirmed the fact of escaping from house arrest in Italy. As previously reported, the Uss Jr. disappeared from his apartment near Milan amid a request for his extradition to the United States, where he is accused of assisting the Russian Federation in evading sanctions, illegal transactions and money laundering.
In an interview with RIA News, Uss said that he is currently in Russia.
According to him, he was forced to flee because he did not believe in the objectivity of justice in Italy. Uss said the Italian court showed a “clear political bias” and a willingness to “bow down” to the United States.
“Yes, we confirm that Artem Uss is in Russia,” a spokesman told Interfax. The governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory did not specify whether the head of the region spoke with his son.
