Retired FSB Major General Alexander Mikhailov commented , that the investigators of the Eastern Interregional Transport Investigation opened criminal proceedings under the article “Terrorism Act” in connection with the explosion and fire of a train in the Severomujsk tunnel at BAM, which occurred on the 29th. At the same time earlier, the CNN television channel, citing sources, reported that SBU officers they carried out sabotage in the tunnel.
“When carrying out sabotage, Ukraine moved to Russian territory a long time ago,” noted Mikhailov in an interview with News.ru. If previously the Ukrainian special services carried out sabotage mainly on the territory of the DLR and LLR, today, according to him, they do it in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions and move deeper into Russia.
The FSB general explained that the SBU does not pursue military purposes so much, rather he wants to demonstrate that Ukraine is present “in the zone of Russian interests”.
At the same time, Mikhailov pointed out that sabotage is carried out against the civilian population and even Great Britain and the United States have already begun to regret inviting Ukrainian agents for an internship .
