Warsaw moves troops east
A new military doctrine has been announced in Warsaw to prevent “Russian aggression” by Belarus. The country's government intends to “radically strengthen” the armed forces and also begin moving troops to the east of the country. The first units have already begun to create bases 10-15 kilometers from the Belarusian border. Warsaw directly declares that it is preparing the armed forces for military action. MK found out how real these statements are.

“If you want peace, prepare for war.” This “ancient Roman” statement was recently made by Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski when commenting on the new military doctrine of the Polish army. According to him, Warsaw is concerned about the “growing threat of the Russian invasion.”
Speaking at a press conference in Warsaw, Kaczynski said the new bill “On Homeland Defense” would solve the deteriorating international situation and problems related to Poland's geopolitical position.
The bill recommends increasing the number of the Polish army from the current 110,000 people to 250,000 soldiers of the active army and 50,000 reservists. However, Kaczynski clarifies that increasing the number of troops does not mean resuming compulsory military service.
Kaczynski also added that Poland must have a serious deterrent force in order to conduct hostilities on its territory. own – without relying on allies in the EU and NATO.
“If we want to avoid the worst, ie war, we must act in accordance with the old rule:” If you want peace, prepare for war, “he quotes Kaczynski Associated Press Agency.
Without waiting for the approval of the new law, the Polish authorities began moving troops to the east of the country. Pictures from the new field camp of the 10th Brigade of the Polish Army, which is settling 46 kilometers from the border with Belarus, have appeared on the website.
In the near future, a place of permanent deployment should emerge in this area, which will include an advanced defense system and a developed military infrastructure. Military engineering equipment, main artillery, and multiple launch missile systems were seen in equipment transported east of the country.
According to military expert Alexander Mikhailovsky, the relocation of Polish troops de facto indicates Poland's intention to increase pressure on Russia via Belarus. Although the new law has not yet been formally adopted, the Polish authorities are already actively implementing it in practice, which is greatly facilitated by the position of the United States.
“In Poland, several opposition parties opposed the new law,” said Alexander Mikhailovsky. – The ruling party is known for having carried out extensive purges in the army in the past and expelled many middle-level officers. They are now part of private military companies fighting around the world. And how they intend to increase the army without officers is not clear to everyone. But here we are talking about the fact that the Polish army is not an independent force, but food for cannons for “Western partners”, so it does not really need qualified personnel. They may eventually be replaced by American officers.
– The bill has not yet passed parliament and has not been signed by the country's president. However, it is highly probable that these cases will disappear and the army will start to grow massively. Unfortunately, you are right. In fact, we are talking about preparing to occupy the territory of some neighboring states. Which is easy to guess. This is simply enough for this kind of police duty. And by the way, it can be not only Belarus, but also Ukraine. Poland expects that in the event of a Russian-Ukrainian conflict, it will be able to quietly cut off part of the Ukrainian country under the pretext of, say, “providing humanitarian aid”. But in any case, it is clear that they are waiting for war in one form or another.
– A very important point: we are not talking about the relocation of new US troops to the east. . It was Trump's idea that the current administration had slowed down a bit. And Poland cannot act as an independent force – only in tandem with Big Brother. If the decree to increase the army comes from Washington (and we fully understand who is behind the governments of many Eastern European countries), then it is necessary to qualitatively develop Russian-Belarusian relations in the military sphere, through OSTO and the State of the Union. It is just not necessary to move troops to the border, to seek an escalation of the situation. It is enough to show that any aggressive action against our allies will meet with a harsh response, and therefore it is worth refraining from them.
