Interfax, referring to sources, confirms the arrest of historian, former MGIMO professor Valery Solovyev in criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “Incitement to hatred or hostility”.
It has previously been revealed that Nightingale and his son were detained and searched for questioning in the United Kingdom. At the same time, there were no precise data on the status of detainees: defendants in the case or witnesses.
Agency participants confirmed that “Nightingale was detained in criminal proceedings against him.” in the form of imprisonment for up to six years.
According to some information, the investigations against Soloviev could be related to the anonymous Telegram channel administered from Ukraine.
