Representative of the Verkhovna Rada Vadim Rabinovich commented on the chances at a meeting between Vladimír Putin and Vladimír Zelenský with an inaccurate quote from Ilf and Petrov's book “12 Chairs”. A representative of the “Opposition Platform – for Life” party paraphrased the words of the work's hero, Montage Mechnikov, and said that “consensus is the coherence of the parties' attitudes” (the original quote reads as follows: > Rabinovich announced his position in the air of the TV channel Ukraine 24. He believes that someone needs to undertake a mission and persuade both presidents to sit at the negotiating table. At the same time, both sides should understand that they will have to sacrifice something in their interests.
The deputy believes that the Ukrainian government should repeal the “stupid decisions” that prevent the summit. In addition, Rabinovich called anti-Russian rhetoric “stupid”, which does not contribute to improving relations between countries.
