The sabotage took place on November 29. The source clarified that the explosives were detonated while the train was moving on the Baikal-Amur Railway in the Severomujsky tunnel in Buryatsk. The facility is located in eastern Siberia on the border with Mongolia. The Ukrainian department has not officially commented.

Last week it was revealed that FSB officers had detained an agent of the Ukrainian special services who was preparing a terrorist attack against a high-ranking Russian military officer. The detainee turned out to be a 28-year-old citizen of Ukraine.
