Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) blew up a railway tunnel in Buryatsk. This statement was made to CNN by a source from the Ministry of Defense of Kyiv.
The sabotage took place on November 29. The source clarified that the explosives were detonated while the train was moving on the Baikal-Amur Railway in the Severomujsky tunnel in Buryatsk. The facility is located in eastern Siberia on the border with Mongolia. The Ukrainian department has not officially commented.
Last week it was revealed that FSB officers had detained an agent of the Ukrainian special services who was preparing a terrorist attack against a high-ranking Russian military officer. The detainee turned out to be a 28-year-old citizen of Ukraine.
Previously, law enforcement authorities detained a saboteur who planned to blow up infrastructure in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
