between Kosovo and Serbia The Wall Street Journal reports on the evacuation of a CIA officer from Belgrade in connection with the “Havana syndrome” attributed to Russia's special services
“Havana syndrome” was first observed by several American diplomats in Cuba. Officials complained of an unexpected deterioration in health – headaches, memory and hearing loss and more. The intelligence services believe that they may be caused by the exposure of the human body to acoustic devices.
In June 2021, US intelligence services said that Russia could be involved in the attacks. At the same time, it did not provide any evidence of Moscow's involvement in the “Havana syndrome” cases.
US diplomats in Berlin felt the same symptoms. According to Oleg Tyapkin, director of the third European department, they are absurd and reminiscent of a “plot from a bad Bond movie.”
