According to Gerasimov, the army is rearmed with Yars missile systems. In addition, the units will soon receive the launch vehicle of the Avangard missile system.
The Chief of General Staff also announced the acceptance of a new submarine equipped with Bulava missiles by naval nuclear forces.
“In general, the state of Russia's nuclear triad provides a solution to deterrence,” Gerasimov said.
He noted that the development of the Russian Federation's strategic nuclear forces is in full compliance with the Treaty on Measures to Reduce and Reduce Assault Weapons.
