US President Joe Biden has released final figures on deaths in the evacuation of the US military from Afghanistan.
According to him, 13 American soldiers were killed and another 20 were injured.
& “The operation to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan and the subsequent evacuation was not a war mission, but a mission of mercy,” Biden added.
Recall that on August 31, the US authorities announced the end of their military presence in Afghanistan. In nearly 20 years of military campaign, the US contingent has lost 2,461 people in the country, including military and civilian specialists.
