United States President Joe Biden and President of China The People's Republic of Xi Jinping agreed to hold a virtual summit by the end of 2021. Bloomberg reported, citing a senior US administration official.
It is noted that the meeting will take place against the background of tensions between the world's largest economies.
This states that the summit agreement was the result of six hours of talks between Biden's National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and the Politburo member Yang Jiechi of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Their meeting took place in Zurich.
