Belarusian authorities still did not receive a Latvian response official to the incident with the national flag of the republic during the ice hockey world championship. This was stated by Deputy Attorney General of the Republic Aleksey Stuk in an interview for the television channel STV.
“We asked the Latvian side. We cannot predict what their answer will be, but in the investigation in this case, we will be persistent, efficient and will act in accordance with national law and our international obligations, “he said.
According to him, the Belarusian Committee of Inquiry is carrying out the necessary complex of investigative and procedural steps in the criminal proceedings against the mayor of Riga Martins Stakis and the cases of Edgar Rinkevich.
