The famous Belarusian singer Angelica Agurbash recently lived in Russia and said that criminal proceedings had been instituted against her in her homeland for inciting social hatred. A case of public insult to President Alexander Lukashenko was also opened.
The star stated on his Instagram that the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic included her in the list of wanted. They demanded the arrest, extradition and transfer to prison number 1.
Agurbash also appealed to subscribers. She called for a “unification of all efforts to overcome the crisis together” and a referendum with the participation of a popular project.
She also stressed that the time had come to announce the start of the formation of the Organizing Committee “to set up a Provisional Initiative Group in December-January of the Constitutional Referendum.”
Under Belarusian law, Agurbash faces maximum imprisonment up to 12 years. In the past, the singer supported Belarusian protests.
