The cargo that could explode the Crimean bridge arrived in Russia from Georgia on October 4, Baza reports.

The cargo, which was in the car of 51-year-old driver Mahir Yusubov at the time of the explosion, crossed the Russian border at about 6 am on October 4. There was nothing suspicious about the transported goods at the customs or other control units. After that, the cargo was redirected to Armavir, and on October 7, Yusubov received an order in the direction of Simferopol.

Now the FSB is investigating why the responsible services did not find explosives. An investigation into the corruption component is also underway.

Earlier, Georgia was mentioned among the states through which the truck passed – these are Bulgaria, Georgia and Armenia. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, announced this to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “There is no doubt that this is a terrorist attack aimed at destroying critically important civilian infrastructure,” the head of state said during the meeting. “Authors, customers, performers – secret services of Ukraine,” he emphasized.
