The island state of Barbados is the first In the world, it will open its own embassy in the metaspace, according to Decentraland. This is a three-dimensional space where users communicate with each other through digital avatars.
The diplomatic mission will be tentatively opened in January 2022.
The CoinDesk Internet portal also states that the Barbados government is also working on agreements with other metasmires – Somnium Space and SuperWorld.
According to Barbados Ambassador to the UAE Gabriel Abed, the embassy in the metaspace is the first phase in the implementation of the country's economic plans in virtual worlds.
