The Slovak government can stop providing military aid to Ukraine and support for sanctions against Russia if the country's former prime minister and head of the Smer party, Robert Fico, wins the election on September 30. This is reported by the AP agency.

“Fico is against EU sanctions against Russia and questions the ability of the Ukrainian army to dislodge Russian troops,” the publication says.

The author of the material claims that Fico intends use Slovakia's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance to block Ukraine's entry into NATO. According to him, if the ex-prime minister wins, Bratislava can take a different path and leave the democratic course.
