According to Anadolu Agency, referring to Erdogan's office, which spoke about the Ukrainian topic, he spoke in favor of a ceasefire and the establishment of a dialogue. Thus, it is reported that the Turkish leader reminded his partner how useful the previous negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv, with the participation of Ankara, were, as a result of which the “grain agreement” was reached. and there was an exchange of prisoners. The dialogue also helped create a security zone around the Zaporozhye NPP, Erdogan noted.
At the same time, he expressed the opinion that the Russian side, which has repeatedly declared its readiness for negotiations, should strengthen its positions with actions. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier, in this conversation Putin also announced his readiness to negotiate, but subject to the recognition of new Russian territories by Kyiv and the fulfillment of other conditions.
