Ukrainian nationalists left on the streets of the capital of Kiev in the evening of December 1. RIA Novosti reported.
More than a thousand people gathered on the main Independence Square in the center of the Ukrainian capital. They represent the National Corps, the Freedom Party and the European Solidarity Party of former President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko.
In addition to the party flags, a banner reading “Protect Ukraine – stop the coup” will be drawn on the podium for speakers. The participants of the assembly claim that the actions of the country's president Volodymyr Zelenský can be considered a coup d'état accompanied by a violation of the constitution and the surrender of national interests.
Impressive police in the square have been withdrawn because authorities fear various provocations by demonstrators. Police have blocked traffic on the streets of the Ukrainian capital.
