Vice President Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh wrote a letter to the German newspaper Spiegel, calling on European countries to support anti-Tibetan resistance (the Taliban movement is banned in the Russian Federation as a terrorist organization).
According to Saleh, the situation in Afghanistan can be resolved by threatening Pakistan with sanctions in support of the Taliban and recognition of national resistance in Panjshir.
Amrullah Saleh fled to Panjshir, which is still not controlled by the Taliban, after the Taliban occupied Kabul. He led the armed resistance to the Taliban along with Ahmad Massoud, the son of the late leader of the Northern Alliance, Ahmad Shah Massoud.
