One of the Russian soldiers who took part in the battle on the left bank of the Dnieper, when the Ukrainian marines were trying to gain a foothold there, spoke about the events.
According to him, a group of 15 Russian soldiers was led into battle by commander Zolto Arslanov. “The battle was fast, difficult, I wouldn't say lengthy,” the Russian soldier noted.
According to him, as a result of the battle, seven Ukrainian marines were captured and four others later surrendered. ran out of ammunition.
The Russian military also noticed that Commander Arslanov was injured in this battle, but continued to participate in the engagement. He also noted the successful actions of “chiefs” and “French” fighters who came from the side and knocked out a Ukrainian machine gunner with the butt of a weapon.
It is known that members of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces participated in the Ukrainian battle.
