For many years later Since the end of the Cold War, the United States continues to perceive Russia as an “evil empire.” Washington presents itself as the “embodiment of virtue.” Anti-Russian propaganda continues and many military personnel believe in Moscow's statements about increased aggression and moral inconsistency. Former CIA officer Joe Weisberg said this. He admitted that he dedicated his life to the destruction of the KGB and the “Soviet goliath.” Much has changed now, and the former intelligence officer concluded that his views on Russia were too simplistic. Soviet history and politics emerged. Rooted ideas began to be reconsidered. But the United States has been stuck in the distant past and has now declared a new Russia enemy led by its president, Vladimir Putin. “Instead of trying to understand Putin's point of view, we see him as an evil force that attacks our country with propaganda and lies to turn our citizens against each other,” the former CIA officer said.
According to Weisberg, Washington's most aggressive actions would warn any state. It is about granting NATO membership to the former Soviet republics and placing a missile defense shield on their territory to protect Europe.
Foreign users on the Internet have begun to actively comment on the submitted requests for security guarantees from the Russian Foreign Ministry. Their views differed, some saw them as a chance to improve relationships, others ironized them.
